It is also the destination of our journey – Shapotou, Zhongwei, Ningxia province, which is a trip to witness the results of our company's 10 years of continuous donations to environmental projects.
Let’s go back 20 years. At that time Ningxia was a province surrounded on three sides by three deserts: Mu Us, Tengger and Ulan Buh. Due to overgrazing and deforestation, yellow sand is everywhere as far as the eye can see. The government made up its mind to completely abandon the local animal husbandry and began to control sand scientifically. After 20 years of effort, a small area of sand has now been set aside as a desert reserve for display and warning. As a participant of such achievements, we are honored.
Maybe it wasn’t green enough in the photos we took, but the local ecology has improved dramatically since it was 20 years age. Protecting and restoring the environment is a million times harder than destroying it. Their efforts continue, and so will our support.
