DCR004 is a combination of helical and worm gear units, it is a gearbox with the input shaft and the output shaft aligned, also named Reduction Gear Box. The planetary gearbox is used to transfer the largest torque in the most compact form (known as torque density), it takes a high-speed, low-torque input, say from an electric motor, then increases torque and reduces speed at the output by the gear head ratio. This lets motors run at higher, more-efficient rpms in equipment that operates at low speeds. Gear box has the interesting feature of changing gear ratios without having to engage or disengage individual gears, it allows for smooth gear changing even under load and without clutch. Rotation is accomplished with a heavy-duty hydraulic motor direct mounted to a high reduction gear box for smooth, speed controlled operation. Dual speed rotation is standard. It is provided a driving apparatus of an electric motor for a reduction roll that can improve maximization of rolling performance and a speed decrease amount by making maximal use of torque that various electric motors can generate during material entry.
